Northern Cape Premier Dr. Zamani Saul is scheduled to lead the Provincial Youth Day commemoration at the AR Abass Stadium in Kimberley in the Frances Baard. Premier Saul will be accompanied by MEC for Sport, Arts and Culture Ms. Desery Fienies as well as the MEC for Youth, Disabilities, Communications and E-Governance Ms. Venus Blennies. They will be accompanied by other Members of Executive Council and the local leadership of Sol Plaatje and Frances Baard Municipalities. This year's Youth Month is being celebrated under the theme: “Accelerating youth economic emancipation for a sustainable future”.
Various government departments and private stakeholders will showcase youth empowerment opportunities during an all embracing Government Services Fair programme. A number of youth-owned enterprises will also be given a platform to showcase their products.
Premier Zamani Saul is set to launch Media Attaché's, a programme whereby 30 young people will be deployed to strengthen various government communication units in departments and district municipalities. The launch will take place on Thursday, 15 June 2023.
