The Department of Sport, Arts and Culture wishes to issue an update to all its stakeholders regarding its relocation from old office building at number 22 Abattoir Road in the Ashburnham industrial site in Kimberley.
The department has relocated its Library Services, Sports and Recreation Directorates as well as the Frances Baard District Office to Permanent Building in the Kimberley's Central Business District. The Cultural Affairs Directorate has been moved to Mayibuye Multi-purpose Centre in Galeshewe township. The Heritage Unit under Cultural Affairs Directorate has been relocated to McGregor Museum at Atlas Street in Herlear suburb.
The administrative offices of the department including Office of Head of Department, Corporate Services, Strategic Management, Registry, Human Resources, Supply Chain Management and Finance are now located at the Mervin Erlank Sports Precinct at Pescodia. Departmental stakeholders are urged to observe all Covid-19 protocols of wearing of face masks, observing 1.5 meter social distance and washing hands with hand soap when visiting the offices.
