DSAC officials have been challenged to invest at-least 67 minutes of their time to a community project in honour of former President Nelson Mandela. Office of the Head of Department has started a knitting campaign in honour of Madiba and the Finance Directorate's male counterparts have accepted the challenge. According to Manager in the Office of Head of Department Ms. Amelia Davis, the project has knitted 40 scarves to date.

Head of Department Ms. Ruth Palm commended the officials on DSAC WhatsApp Manager's Group Chat “Thanks colleagues for the teamwork and for working towards Mandela Day, this is indeed beautiful”. Ms Palm went on to challenge other units to take part and share their progress, “Men in Finance are challenging men in the other units to get involved, post your pictures colleagues!”
